CAD Document Relationships

A CAD Document can have relationships with other items. The Relationships accordion keeps these relationships grouped in separate Relationships tabs. Each Relationships tab represents a single relationship type.

- Structure – A single-level CAD hierarchy editor that enables you to view and manage the direct Children of this CAD Document. For more details, refer to section Hierarchy of CAD Documents.
- Parents – A read-only list of the CAD Document’s direct Parents.
- Parts – A read-only list of the Parts attached to the CAD Document. This tab appears only when a CAD Document is attached to more than one Part. For more details, refer to section Parts Associated with a CAD Document.
- Files – A list of Files attached to the CAD Document. Typically, this tab hosts additional CAD Document Files. The Native File property of the CAD Document is a link to a native CAD File. The Viewable File property of the CAD Document is a link to a viewable representation of the native CAD File. For more details, refer to section Managing CAD Files.
- Changes – Displays a list of change items, such as DCOs, Express ECOs and EDRs, where this CAD Document is an affected item. For more details, refer to sections Change Management.
