BOM Structures

A multi-level BOM is a structure of Parts and is often designed to be configurable. This approach enables you to have a single product structure for numerous product configurations.
Aras Innovator provides functionality to resolve a BOM structure using:
- Structure Resolution, which identifies Part versions depending on a Resolution Mode. Refer to section Applying Structure Resolution Modes for details.
- Effectivity, which identifies valid Parts to be used under different conditions. Refer to section Effectivity Management for details.
To view the BOM Structure for a Parent Part:
- Open the Parent Part.
- Go to the BOM Structure accordion tab of a Parent Part.

The BOM Structure tab leverages a Tree Grid View to display the multi-level BOM structure for the Part. You can refer to the Aras Innovator 29 - Tree Grid View Administrator Guide for information on the available toolbar options, along with instructions on configuring the items displayed in the BOM Structure.
