Prerequisites

To install Aras Import Manager 33, users need to confirm that the installation of Aras Innovator meets the minimum requirements for running it.

The first step in installing Aras Import Manager is to set up the Aras Innovator instance that will be used. The three significant steps for setting up your Aras Innovator instance for use with Aras Import Manager are:

  1. Install Aras Innovator.
  2. Install Aras Update Tool.
  3. Install Aras Import Manager using the Aras Update Tool.

This document is based on a new installation Aras Innovator. However, the same steps for installing into an existing instance of Aras Innovator can be used. Aras Import Manager is a stand-alone platform component and does not depend on the other Aras business-ready solutions.

The following steps outline the process to verify the code tree and database are eligible for installing the Aras Import Manager 33 application:

  1. Log into Aras Innovator as an administrator.
  2. Click the User icon in the top-right corner and select About.
  3. Close the dialog.
  4. Verify that the dialog shows either Release 33, Release 34 or Release 35
  5. From the TOC, expand Administration and select Variables.
  6. Verify one of the following variable sets and values are listed:

VersionMinor

VersionServiceUpdate

VersionLabel
