Release Innovator pipeline

The Release Innovator pipeline provides a standardized and automated way to deliver fixes and updates to Aras Innovator SaaS environments while keeping release operations simple, predictable, and governed. The pipeline uses a single, consistent workflow to manage deployments to SIT, UAT, STG, and Production, with built-in approvals for controlled promotion.

The following steps outline the high-level deployment process for the Release Innovator:

1. Define the Release Name: Identify a unique release identifier used to track the deployment across all environments and distinguish it from other releases.
2. Identify the intial CI pipeline Build Number: Determine the initial CI build used for SIT deployment and potential promotion to UAT. CI pipelines for STG and PROD environments are handled separately and require manual tagging.
3. Trigger the Pipeline: Initiate the Release Innovator pipeline.
4. Approve Environment Promotion: Provide the necessary approvals to advance the update through the SIT, UAT, STG, and PROD environments.
5. Obtain Production Approval: Request final approval from Aras before deploying to the Production environment.
