Aras Innovator organizes data using different Item Types, such as Parts, Projects, and Process Plans. To manage files, it typically uses an Item called a Document—though the name might vary.A Document is like a container: it holds one or more files and includes details (metadata) about them. Documents can be linked to other Items, like Parts or Projects, so users can easily find and open related files.
