Appendix II: Standard Solution Packaging Tools

There are several tools available for submitting AML package changes, depending on your environment.

The Package Import Export Utilities are provided with every Aras Innovator release.

DevOps Studio and Package Studio are Aras cloud-native tools designed to streamline the integration of changes into the Aras DevOps workflow:

• Aras DevOps Studio
  For SaaS customers, Aras DevOps Studio is the recommended tool for submitting packages. It connects directly to an online SaaS Aras Innovator instance, allowing you to make and review changes without leaving your browser no local setup required. DevOps Studio ensures that only customer customizations are captured, no Released AML Packages.

• Package Studio
  For users working in the Local Development Environment, Package Studio connects to a local Aras Innovator instance and allows you to manage package definitions and export changes. Exported changes can be pushed directly to the SDE or saved locally for further review before committing to version control.
